Riley: I’m originally from Batavia Illinois where I will be transferring to next season. I love swimming and weightlifting.

The 1796: Who was your favorite college team as a kid? Do you consider yourself a Tennessee fan?

Riley: My favorite team growing up was Oregon. I just loved everything about them and how they played. But I definitely like Tennessee and the history and tradition they have.

The 1796: Have you visited campus or Neyland Stadium yet?

Riley: I have been to Tennessee twice already and the more I go the better it gets. I can’t wait to be back this summer.

Riley: About 10 schools have talked to me so far this offseason. Northwestern, Alabama, Ohio State, and Penn State are some of them.

The 1796: What position do you want to play in college?

Riley: I’m willing to play any position. I never really had one spot this year, I went back to tight end but also played some linebacker. Last year I played quarterback but when I get to college I plan on playing tight end.

The 1796: What excites you most about your upcoming visits?

Riley: Seeing the schools. Not just the athletic part, but seeing the school, because education comes first. I already have visits set up to Tennessee, Northwestern, Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan, and Miami (OH).

The 1796: What’s your best memory from playing football?

Riley: The best memory playing football would have to be winning my first state title, or this year after beating rival Maryville.

The 1796: When do you plan on committing to a school?

Riley: I hope to make a decision on which school in November and sign and enroll early in December.

The 1796: Alright, give me your top 5 schools list as of right now.
